Frequently asked questions.

Where we are, how many taps, whether you can park, and which of the old BREWs have closed. If something here is out of date, this page is the one that is right.

What is BREW – Beers & Ciders?

A specialist beer bar in Bangkok, open since 2011 and now inside the Saphan 55 venue at the north end of Thonglor. Sixteen taps, its own keg room, and a fridge carrying further types.

Where is BREW?

759 Soi Sukhumvit 55 (Thonglor), Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110 — inside Saphan 55, at the north end of Thonglor where the road meets Phetchaburi, directly under the Khlong Saen Saep canal bridge.

Is BREW inside Saphan 55?

Yes. BREW is not a tenant, a concession or a franchise — it is a second label of the same company, trading inside that venue, and everything goes on one bill.

When did BREW open?

In 2011, in Bangkok. It is among Thailand's original craft beer bars.

Is the old BREW at Seen Space or Sukhumvit 11 still open?

No. Both are closed. BREW – Beers & Ciders trades at one address only: Saphan 55, 759 Soi Sukhumvit 55, Thonglor. Listings that still show a former address, or that say BREW is permanently closed, are out of date.

How many draught taps does BREW have?

Sixteen, poured from the bar's own keg room.

What kinds of beer does BREW serve?

Imported and Thai beer. The categories stocked include Belgian, Trappist and abbey ales, stouts, IPAs, pale ales, lagers and ciders. No brand names and no drinks list are published on this site — ask at the bar for what is pouring today.

Does BREW serve cider?

Yes, alongside the beer. Wine and sangria are served as well.

Does BREW serve food?

Yes. The Saphan 55 kitchens serve the whole venue, Thai and European, and it goes on the same bill.

Does BREW have live music?

Every Friday night. Who plays changes week to week and is announced on Instagram; the night itself does not change.

Is BREW near Thong Lor BTS?

No. BTS Thonglor is about 2 km away at the far, Sukhumvit end of the road, and it is not a walk. The nearest transit is Thong Lo pier on the Khlong Saen Saep canal boat line, about 60 m away across a footbridge. Red trucks (songthaew) run the length of Thonglor from the station and stop in front.

Does BREW have parking?

Yes — free, on site, shared with the venue.

Is there air conditioning and outdoor seating?

Both. There is an air-conditioned section and an open-air section.
